Outreach
At New Hope Baptist Church we take our responsibility for the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) seriously.

These are the ministries we are currently doing to reach out into our community in order to share the Gospel of Christ with those around us.

Chambers Park Bible Study -

This is a Bi-weekly Bible study done at the Vetrens housing unit in Marion, IN called Chambers Park. There are around 6 to 8 vetrens which join us bi-weekly and we study through various books of the Bible. We also send a van on Sundays mornings in order for them to come to church.

Neighborhood Nights -

The church needs to get outside the walls of the church in order to do life with the people in our communities. This is the reason we are planning this ministry called Neighborhood nights. Our aim is to strategically choose neighborhoods where church members have an influence.  The church would come alongside the church members to reach out to their neighbors by assisting them in hosting a block party.

Mobile Easter -

In seeking to do Easter differently we have developed three teams which go out to three different local nursing homes and worship our Risen Savior with the people there. Then all the teams come back to the church and the teams are put together into a big celebration of worship for all of the congregation to enjoy.

3rd Sunday's at Twin Cities Health Care -

We as a church have taken on as one of our ministries the 3rd Sunday service of Twin Cities Health Care. This nursing home provides an afternoon church service for its residents every Sunday and now we are able to help out with this vital ministry.

Vacation Bible School -

Every year we seek to share the love of God with the Children of our neighborhoods. We play games, sing songs, have snacks, and hear some great stories from the Bible. If you have kids they will enjoy.

Adult Ministry

Sunday School
Sunday School is the focal point of our adult ministries. We have three main Sunday School classes:

The Common Ground Class which is for anyone with kids in school.

The Discovery Class which is for all adults.

The Welcome Joy Class which is for those who are retired or close to retirement.

We also offer a New Members Class 2-3 times a year which Pastor Curtis teaches.

Sunday School is from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM Every Sunday.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
Our main adult ministry on Wednesday night is our Bible Study and Prayer Meeting. This informal gathering studies scripture together and prays for the needs inside and outside the church. We would invite you to come and join us! Wednesday Night Bible Study is from 7 PM to 8 PM every Wednesday Night.

Children Ministry
Children's ministry is a big part of New Hope Baptist Church.  Below, you will see three of our regular ministries (Sunday School, Junior Church, and Kids 4 Truth) as well as Vacation Bible School in the summer.

Sunday School

Sunday School meets on Sunday Morning from 9:30-10:15.  The purpose of Sunday School is to point children to the truth of Scripture!  We do this by teaching them the truth of Scripture, giving them a Biblical view of the gospel, and helping them to apply the gospel to their everyday lives.  Check out Growing Faith by Regular Baptist Press to find out what our K-5th Grade Teachers are using as their curriculum.)

Junior Church
Junior Church meets during the Sunday Morning worship service.  We desire to point children toward the priority of worship through Junior Church.  In Junior Church, your children will learn about the character of God, they will learn how to find any given passage in Scripture, and they will learn how to make application from any given passage of Scripture.

Kids4Truth
Kids4Truth meets during the school year on Wednesday Nights from 7-8 PM.  Our goal is that Kids4Truth will POINT children to the importance of their faith.  Their faith will become important to them as they learn about the key areas of their faith, memorize Scripture, and learn how to defend what they believe.  (Check out the Kids4Truth website to learn more about this awesome program!)

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Every year we invite the children of our church community and the community at large to come and experience the fun of learning the stories of the Bible and applying them to their lives. This is a great time of learning and growth. This year we are going to be Shipwrecked - Rescued By Jesus. If you are in K-6th grade come and join us on July 22nd - July 26th from 6 to 8 PM.
